Oh la la amour

Don’t play with my mind

I’d rather do without,

I’m emotionally exhausted

And hate these childish games.

My feelings are mixed up

And so inside out.

Don’t let the fire

In our passion turn to flames.

We hardly agree,

Can’t we beg to differ?

I love you

But for us it’s hard to live.

I hate long silences

And when you stand there and dither

Swallow your pride –

Learn how to forgive.

We quarrel endlessly

Over nothing it seems,

You or me raising voices-

And our fists!

The expressions you pull.

(It must be in your genes)

Why can’t we just make up

And kiss?
