Can’t park

It’s too small, that bay, it just won’t fit,

My reversing is just not up to it.

Cannot get in there, it’s much too tight

Can’t seem to get the angle right.

It doesn’t matter how hard I try

It’s no good, can’t park I sigh and cry;

To get in that space is a bit of a squeeze,

Need to find a space much wider, please.

Backwards, forwards, up the path,

Parallel parking~you’re having a laugh!

My car is an oblong, not a square

Can’t figure out how to get in there.

Oh I admit it, I really cannot park

If I can’t judge the bay lines, I’ll leave my mark.

I’ll take a drive around the block

To avoid an inevitable twang or knock.

A multi storey makes me dizzy

The pay and display are always far too busy.

It’s no four wheel drive or even a giant

But I struggle to park in my Robin Reliant………..
